Christmas Hours at The Grove Restaurant

The holidays are upon us! We will be open for business on Christmas, with a slight change of hours. On Christmas Eve, we will be serving the dining room menu, as well as a special Christmas menu! Dinner hours on Christmas Eve will be from 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm. As a reminder, dinner reservations are strongly recommended, especially for larger parties of 4 or more!
On Christmas Day, we will serve breakfast from 7:00 am - 9:30 am. Our Pub will be open serving the pub menu only from 2:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Happy Holidays from The Woodbound Inn!
Murder Mystery Dinner Show

On January 17th, 2015, we will be hosting a Murder Mystery Dinner Show called "Ayuh, He's Dead!". Tickets are $50 per person and will include entrance to the show and a dinner buffet (tax and gratuity not included). For reservations, call (603) 532-8341. Here's a little sneak preview of what to expect..
"Maple sugaring is a sticky business... especially when murder is part of the recipe. Mix one cup of sap, two tablespoons of hate, and a gallon of revenge. Then add a cold-blooded crime lord, a hot-blooded Italian, and a luke-warm downeast tourguide. The rest is.... hilarious!"

We are currently taking reservations for our annual New Year's Eve Gala celebration at The Woodbound Inn! Entry will include our dinner buffet, a champagne toast, fireworks by Atlas Pyrotechnics, and live music by The Nines Band! It is sure to be a fabulous time, so be sure to make your reservation before space runs out. Room packages are available as well, and include our Gala, overnight accomodations, and New Year's Day brunch!

We will be serving a Thanksgiving Brunch buffet at The Woodbound Inn on Thursday, November 27th from 10:30 am until 2:00 pm. Our menu will include breakfast options as well as traditional Thanksgiving fare and desserts. The full menu will be posted on our website and Facebook page this week.

Wednesdays are for families at the Woodbound Inn! Each Wednesday night we will have a themed buffet for under $15 per person. Like us on Facebook to get the menu each week!
Wing Wednesday is still heating up the Pub for the summer. Come by and check out the tasty flavors and beer specials!
We will no longer offer the dinner menu on Wednesday nights with the introdction of the Family Night Buffet. The dinner menu will be served Thursday - Saturday nights.

Please join us in welcoming our new Food & Beverage Manager, Joshua Sweetapple. Joshua grew up in Northeast Ohio, where he began his career at the Marriott Quail Hollow Resort in Concord. After a transfer to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, he gained valuable fine dining experience at the Hilton Head Country Club where he worked many weddings and private functions. After working his way up through Hilton Head, he became Bar Manager at the Aqua Grille & Lounge, where he specialized in numerous signature cocktails. Since then he has lived in the Bahamas, the Dominican Republic and, most recently, Delray Beach, Florida. We look forward to Joshua joining us at the Woodbound Inn! His wide range of experience from small local pubs, fine dining venues & private clubs, as well as weddings & banquets will surely benefit your future dining experience at The Woodbound Inn.
Cookie Tour recipe

Thank you to all that visited the Woodbound on the Currier and ives Cookie Tour today! Below is the recipe for our cookie. Enjoy!
Snowy Nuts and Berries
1 cup peanut butter
½ cup butter, softened
½ cup plus ½ tablespoon shortening
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 ½ cups all purpose flour
1 cup peanuts, chopped (optional)
½ cup dried cranberries
1/3 cup white chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 375°F. In mixing bowl beat peanut butter, butter and shortening with an electric mixer on medium speed for 30 seconds. Add the granulated sugar, brown sugar baking soda and baking powder. Beat until combined, scraping sides of bowl. Beat in eggs and vanilla until combined. Beat in as much of the flour as you can with the mixer. Stir in any remaining flour, cranberries and, if desired, peanuts.

Drop by tablespoon 2 inches apart on an ungreased baking sheet. Flatten by making crisscross marks with the tines of a fork.

Bake for 7-9 minutes or until bottoms are light brown. Cool on cookie sheet for 1 minute. Transfer to a wire rack to cool.

Once cool, microwave white chocolate ships and shortening in 20 second intervals to keep liquid. Drizzle over cookies.
